Mr. Mesquite Taqueria in Scottsdale, Arizona
This walk-up window in the middle of Old Town Scottsdale was made for post-drinking food (7345 East Shoeman Lane, 480-758-4859). Fortunately, they open as early as 10 AM, so I stopped by this afternoon before heading to the airport. It was a simple menu, with just two proteins available: chicken or steak.
It was much bigger than I thought it would be, and the meat was rather dry and tough. Fortunately, the salsa and grilled peppers were spicy enough to make me pant a little, in turn making it better than anything else I've eaten this week. But this week has also been pretty underwhelming for food.
