Kaidon No. 1 in Taipei, Taiwan
From what I could tell, this was a local chain of Japanese yakiniku don shops here in Taipei. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but we needed food before going to our next meeting, and an outlet was conveniently nearby. Mine was a bit tough, lacking fat, and a bit hard to eat. But I ultimately still ate it, along with an amusing side dish that was nothing but mentaiko mayonnaise squeezed out onto rectangular packaged hash brown patties. I don't plan to come back, but if I do, then I'd rather get that bowl that I saw with egg and green onions on it, assuming that I have no meetings to go to afterwards.
