The Wah Kee folks have opened up a table service restaurant at Esplanade Mall (8 Raffles Avenue #01-13C, 6327-9187). When I arrived tonight, they were sold out of the cheapest S$6 (US$4.30) sliced prawn bowl. So how convenient it was for them that I had no other choice but to step up to the S$12 (US$8.60) bowl featuring larger, whole prawns instead. Anyway, the noodles were probably the best part of the dish, especially with its bits of pork crackling in there. It was nice of them to partially shell the prawns too, but there wasn't much headfat to get, and the broth wasn't as aromatic as I had hoped.
