Even if
Kuro Maguro wasn't anything that exciting, the good thing was that there was no line at Hattendo Cafe next door (7 Wallich Street #01-05). So I walked in and grabbed a custard bun to see what all of the fuss was about. It pretty much tasted like I imagined it to be, with a very soft bun and custard in the middle. In some ways it was kinda like Beard Papa meets King's Hawaiian, but softer than King's Hawaiian yet not as sweet as Beard Papa. I am curious to see how some of the other flavors taste, but I'm not making any huge effort to come back.
