Malaysian bak kut teh is finally growing on me, and this shop (66 Jalan SS 14/2, +60-16-264-4590) is one reason why. The broth here is only mildly sweet and herbal, and more importantly, had just the right touch of soy sauce to make this interesting. They also had a dry version that I liked even better, although another version, the chicken wine soup, was a tad too sweet. I've got total dragon breath right now either way thanks to that minced raw garlic that one mixes in with sliced chili and dark soy sauce.
