
When I saw "German Potato" on the menu at Ginza Lion, I had assumed that they were talking about Kartoffelsalat. It was only after they brought it out did I realize that this was on a hot platter with sizzling butter (and no, it wasn't sour).
The other surprise tonight was how sloppy the kitchen was with some of our dishes. Next time, I'll pass on the chicken wings, kushikatsu, and calamari, but stick to the roast beef, clams, and maybe the chicken oroshi ponzu (I loooove yuzu kosho).
