It was only recently that I heard about Fleming's Steakhouse. It started in
Newport Beach right about the time that I left Southern California, and has since proliferated across the US since I've been in Asia. Tonight, our hosts took us to a nearby outlet, and it was your usual American steakhouse with lots of meat, sides, and a huge wine list.
They ran out of the dry-aged prime ribeye that I initially wanted, so I settled for this larger bone-in version instead. Yes, it had its tasty parts, but I nearly didn't eat the lean sections. I suppose that I was satisfied in the end (love the deconstructed s'mores), but I'd still opt for
Morton's over this if I had the choice.
