I didn't even find out about this until today, but apparently one of the things that this restaurant is known for is this Spice Mum chili sauce, a
sour mixture of raw chili and garlic that packs quite a punch. And like Ay Chung Oyster Noodle in Taipei, you can buy a
refrigerated jar to take home.
To my surprise, I rather enjoyed some of the food that we got today, including some kind of mushroom and scallop dish, as well as some deep fried taro root thing (perfect for dipping in that hot sauce above). Hmm...maybe I should come
to these guys more often.
