This is the second time that I've gotten the
fruit platter on SQ out of HKG and this is the second time that it's been so skimpy (seriously - there was enough room in those trays to add several pieces of melon and another strawberry!). I wonder if maybe their caterer in HKG is following strict instructions on X number of slices to put in there. Clearly their caterers at other airports
aren't this stingy!
Have you ordered a kosher meal on SQ? I heard it is pretty good, and I would love to see what it looks like.

ReplyDelete..I believe so; when I travel with my wife and daughter they always ask that they have only chicken satay and no lamb as canapes.
The procedure the FA;s have been taught is 'every pasenger is served 2 chicken and 1 lamb' because that is what is always served to every passenger by default; so my wife and daughter get no lamb and 2 chicken satays. Meanwhile I get (you guessed correctly) 2 chicken and 1 lamb. If they ask for more chicken satay the FA's will come back with a heap.
The next time I should ask for lamb and no chicken to see if I get 1 stick of satay!
Were you on economy or business? Makes a heap of a difference.

ReplyDelete..the picture speaks for itself which part of the plane it was taken on
Regardless of economy or business, you can always get very decent fruits when you flag down the staff on the plane.
