Yes, we were drawn in here by the amusing name (50 Jurong Gateway Road #B1-08, 6339-0058). It's too bad then that the broth here wasn't anything to get too excited about, even if they were surprisingly generous with the thin slices of beef. The batter in the bánh xèo was also so thick and doughy that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it (definitely stick to Wrap and Roll for that one!).
The surprising thing though was that they featured chả cá lã vọng on the menu, and it was a heck of a lot better than we thought it would be. Granted, our expectations were pretty low after having that knockoff from Thien Long in San Jose, but this one was tender and bursting with fresh dill, even if it still lacked that ever-important bubbling peanut oil.
