Here's a Japanese croquette shop at Parco Bugis in Singapore. I stick to the original Corochan made from Japanese potatoes at only S$1 (US$0.60). It wasn't as light as
Gochi, but at this price, who cares? It's still crispy without being too greasy, and a nice little pick-me-up snack. It reminds me a bit of Old Chang Kee, a local chain of deep fried Chinese food like egg rolls (known here as spring rolls). It's probably not the healthiest thing in the world though.
