While stopping at a truck stop somewhere off a freeway in Italy, I grabbed a
dolomiti sandwich, which looked quite good in the case. How could one go wrong with cheese,
prosciutto, and eggplant? Well, it didn't really turn out to be as good as I had hoped, most notably because I didn't like the bread (then again, I don't really like soft bread anyway - maybe I was just expecting more of a harder baguette-type). Maybe I also went wrong in declining his offer to toast the sandwich (it's apparently a common practice here). Oh well. At least I got a flavored San Pellegrino too - one of my faves.
