Harbin Beer from China

The Chinese aren't exactly known for their beer. Aside from Tsingtao, one usually can't get Chinese beer stateside. But here is a popular Chinese beer: Harbin, and its branded brother Hapi, which I think Anheuser-Busch was trying to acquire or something. Honestly, all of these taste pretty similar - a clean lager - not quite tasteless, but nothing great either. (Actually, some friends of mine told me about an offsite meeting they had in the city of Tsingtao once, and they went to the eponymous brewery to come out with plastic bags of beer. Yes, plastic bags. And apparently it tasted completely different from the bottled stuff.)

Anyway, I wasn't in China today. These were just some fitting suds while chowing down at Hometown Restaurant in Singapore. The beers pretty much tasted like they look in the photos, and I really couldn't taste the difference between them.
