Carpenter and Cook off Bukit Timah, Singapore

Cravin' Crab Cake

I didn't realize until we got here that the name of this place is a function of it being an antique store in addition to a cafe (19 Lorong Kilat #01-06, 6463-3648). That made for a cute and cozy brunch spot this afternoon. The baked goods were good, including the cornbread underneath their Eggs Benedict as well as the flaky croissant-like things underneath those crab cakes above. But the food tended to be more sweet than savory, including the pulled pork and even the salad dressing. It's thus not my kind of place, even if I can see why people like it.
