I'm such a sucker for craft cocktails, small plates, and wooden counter seating. It was thus easy for me to like this place in Vancouver's Gastown neighborhood (217 Carrall Street, 604-568-1701). Now, those heirloom carrots above weren't as good as the curried ones from Outlier in Seattle last night, and their veal sweetbreads on toast were a tad heavily sauced. But I was still very happy with what I had and would be happy to come back.
