Nasi Kerabu and Roti Jala in Malaysia

Nasi Kerabu

Being stuck at a resort in Johor meant that we were limited to the on-site buffet spread. Fortunately, there were still some interesting things, like this blue rice. It didn't really have much taste on its own, but apparently it's supposed to be accompanied with things like fried chicken (and thus, served on a plate rather than in a bowl like they way I did it).

Roti Jala

For breakfast, they had roti jala, which was a bit like Indian stringhoppers, but made from wheat flour and fried on a griddle. These were fun to eat, especially when they were piping hot, dipped into a nice spicy chicken curry. I could've eaten a lot more of these.
