Ronin in Hong Kong
This place has just been added to my list of favorite places in Hong Kong (8 On Wo Lane, 2547-5263). It's actually an offshoot of Yardbird, and pitched as an izakaya at that. But that's not really doing it much justice, as it's not an izakaya. It's a high-end Ginza-style bar that happens to serve proper quality seafood. And I loved it right from the start, especially with their signature flower crab and uni. Everything that they brought out has total respect for the ingredients, like that octopus and beef above, or even the cocktails. Fortunately, I don't live in Hong Kong or else I'd be dangerously within distance of coming here regularly.
