This place wasn't easy to find. Google Maps has it pinned correctly, but there is no signage outside, making it easy to miss on the touristy Avenida Revolución (corner of Carillo Puerto y o Tercera, +52-664-638-4936). Fortunately, there was a Visitor Information booth smack in front of the place, so it was easy to ask in English where it was, and he pointed directly to that dark-looking wooden coffee shop.
Anyway, this place is run by an American, and a Top Chef competitor at that. I was expecting a lot as a result, but was kinda bummed with the tostadas above (too heavy) as well as the cocktails (rather uninspiring). To be fair, they were running a reduced menu this afternoon. And maybe if I didn't just eat that shrimp taco beforehand, I might have tried more food. Well, at least it was a convenient place to stop for a drink before heading to the border.
