When I looked at the menu in front of this shop, it featured several cuts of beef that sounded rather appetizing (2 Orchard Turn #B3-18). OK, let's be honest: it reminded me a bit of Vietnamese phở. Of course, I knew that it wasn't phở, but rather Teochew beef noodles, complete with that sour chili sauce that I like so much. Fortunately I wasn't too put off by the herbal broth; it gave it enough of an aroma to make me like it more than that Tanglin Mall lady (and definitely much more than that Cuppage stall at 313@Somerset). Now if only those Thaksin beef noodle people would open a shop in the city.
