Subway wasn't exactly high on the list of places to go to in Japan. But it wasn't until we actually came here that we noticed that the menu was totally different.
Italian BMT? Forget it. Here, the selections included this prosciutto and mascarpone sandwich, as well as Iberian ham bacon. Chipotle Southwest sauce? Nope - try pesto or wasabi soy sauce. Parmesan oregano bread? Sorry - how is sesame bread instead?
Of course, everyone from McDonald's to Denny's localizes to Japan, but I wasn't expecting Subway to have been that different. (Cue: James Franco's Subway artist scene in This Is The End)
