I know, those pancakes are still raw in the photo. But that was the point of this place: to cook your own pancakes however you wanted. This was incidentally one of the places that we didn't get around to on a previous trip to Portland, so it was rather fortunate that they've opened up here at the Grandstand (200 Turf Club Road #01-20/21, 6465-1814).
Anyway, it was obviously more of a novelty than anything, especially when batter was loaded into squeeze bottles, thus letting you create whatever shapes you wanted (and yes, that's bacon and scallions that you see in the foreground, as I went the savory route). Hmmm...why is it that there are so many pancake shops in Portland?
