Jaime's Italian at VivoCity in Singapore

Clockwise from bottom: baked mushrooms, panzanella, and braised squid pasta

The last time we were here at Jaime Oliver's new restaurant (1 HarbourFront Walk #1-165, 6733-5500), we had mixed results: I loved the crispy squid and ravioli, but one of the pasta dishes seemed to have been missing an ingredient or two. Fortunately, today was a much better experience, with the baked mushrooms in the center tasting as good as it looked and going down into our bellies in a jiffy. The Tuscan panzanella special today was fresh and fine too, as was the braised squid pasta with its savory broth. More importantly though, it was interesting to see that we had no problems walking in at 12 noon on a Thursday, but by 12:30 PM there was a line forming. The trick is all in the timing, I guess.
