A Random Taco Stand in Mexico City

Pork tacoExposed lightbulbs hanging precariously from a single wire are always an indicator of good food, and this taco stand that I randomly found across the street from my hotel here in Mexico City could not exemplify that more. Actually, it was more of a minivan than a stand, where they just opened up the tailgate and set up a grill. Simply tell them your choice of meat, and then pile on your choice of condiments from the spread along the side of the van.

Perfect...my three pork tacos, bristling with fat, all went down in the blink of an eye. Now let's just hope that Montezuma's Revenge (also known as the Delhi Belly on the other side of the world) doesn't strike later tonight.

We've heard it referred to as the "Aztec Two Step"
