Whoa - there is a Dunkin' Donuts stand at the airport here. Here's a Boston Kreme
doughnut, which definitely pales in comparison to
Krispy Kreme (especially with a much stingier amount of cream filling inside). It still went down quickly though. The funny thing is that I never really went to Dunkin' Donuts much back in the US (I think it was more of an East Coast thing?).

Dunkin Donuts is definitely more an East Coast thing, though I had way too much of it when I was based in Chicago. In New York, Dunkin Donuts has some stiff competition from all the bagels, but in New Jersey and definitely in Boston, Dunkin Donuts is the king of quick sugarification.
I used to drink three extra large iced coffees from Dunkin Donuts a day when I was in Chicago... ah the joy.
I agree; when I was a student in Philly, I used to have 1 Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate a day during winter =)
Krispy Kreme's still the best!
Yes Dunkin Donuts is king in New England while Krispie Kreme came from the south. Very different types of doughnuts. KK (due to the shortening?) are very light and you can pretty much eat a hlf dozen at a pop. DD are much heavier. Stick to KK for the glazed kind and DD for the filled jelly type. College kids in Boston are fueled by DD coffee.
Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme - what I'd give to have either one of them out here in Singapore!
I've never been into Dunkin' Donuts, and I much prefer the Krispie Kreme I tried in Sydney. But I had to go and try Dunkin' Donuts in Bali and this is what happened the first time, and the second.
By the way, enjoy your gastronomic journey through Singapore. I miss alot of the food there.
In Brazil, I was only able to find Dunkin Donuts at the Sao Paulo airport. But, in a few malls, there was "King Donuts", which was apparently a local knock-off - they had an assortment of donuts that looked striking similar to DDs. The most blatent rip-off was that they stole the DD font and colors for their signage and displays. The donuts were not as good though.
Sorry but Dunkin Donuts makes (a lot) better Boston Cream donut than Krispy Kreme. In fact, I just blogged about this on my blog after doing a taste-test of 30 people. Check out the results: http://www.doughnutsgalore.com/
