Want Some Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake?

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake

That probably doesn't look nor sound very appetizing. But that's how it appeared on Tim Ho Wan's menu. And it was much better than I thought it would be, with a refreshingly cold Jell-O like texture and just a mildly sweet wolfberry and floral taste. In other words, it wasn't anywhere as syrupy, herbal, nor gooey as I thought it would a good way. I'd actually get that again.
