David Thompson's Long Chim at MBS

Chive cakes

That was a lot better than I thought it would be (10 Bayfront Avenue Atrium 2 #02-02, 6688-7299). Sure, this guy is a Michelin-starred chef, but cheap street food in Thailand is already amazing, and I had my concerns about whether an upscale place on the former grounds of Guy Savoy would be more about the ambiance than the food.

Thankfully, it was more about the food. It was delicious, thanks to the care that the kitchen took in the ingredients and the execution. And it wasn't bastardized in the process either: the dishes packed some heat, and were just delightful to eat. I would happily come back here again, even if it is rather pricey.
