8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Hong Kong

Grilled Octopus and Artichoke

It's probably a bit hard to make out from the photo above due to the texture of the plate, but that grilled octopus and artichoke above was awesome, cooked perfectly so that it wasn't rubbery, and seasoned just right with a touch of smokiness.

It came from 8½, a three-Michelin-starred Italian place at Landmark Alexandra in Central (18 Chater Road, Shop 202, +852-2537-8859) that is usually pretty tough to get a reservation for. We, however, got around that by just walking into the bar, where surprisingly they had a couple of booths too.

We grabbed a number of other items, like some grilled matsutake mushrooms, as well as a few pasta dishes, including some burrata-filled ravioli, among others. Yes, I'll happily come back, even if just to get more of that octopus while sipping down one of their fancy cocktails at the bar.
