Peranakan Food on Singapore Airlines

Ayam Tempra with Rice

Last time I took SQ, I was a bit bummed that I didn't get a flight that was serving its special Singapore Heritage Cuisine menu in celebration of SG50. Fortunately, I got one today, and it was surprisingly good; so much that I gobbled this chicken and rice dish down in seconds (and this is coming from someone that has taken some time to appreciate Peranakan flavors too). The eggplant was surprisingly spicy...in a good way. I'd love to eat this again, but I think they only serve it on flights leaving Singapore, not returning.
