Cheng San Market & Cooked Food Centre
Last time we passed by 527 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, most of the hawker center was already shut down. But this morning at around 9 AM, it was completely packed, including the market on the other side, where there were even stalls selling roasted meat.
I went for this bowl of fishball noodle from San Yuan Gourmet at stall number 01-148. The chili sauce was a bit sweet, but also decently spicy and greasy enough to make this S$2 (US$1.50) bowl of noodles easy to eat quickly. Those fishballs were a bit tasteless though.
I am not sure what other stalls were worth visiting; most of it seemed like standard hawker fare. This prawn noodle wasn't too bad, but there wasn't anything so great that I'd be yearning to come back right away. It did the job of getting breakfast in our bellies, I suppose.
