I'm not sure if this is what people
in Shanghai really eat for breakfast every day, but the hotel offered this set of "local flavors" cooked to order. It wasn't anything great. The noodles were too soft and the broth was too bland, while the skin on those
xiao long bao was too thick. I guess I'll have to mark it down as yet another
failed bowl of soup noodles from a hotel breakfast spread.
