My Solution to Yoshinoya's Small Portions

One Beef Value Meal and One Beef Bowl

This is my solution to those tiny portions (and the silly "large" bowl that they offer) at Yoshinoya Singapore: just get two regular bowls. Actually, in this case it was one Value Meal with a bowl of soup plus an extra bowl on the side, but it was effectively two bowls. The sad thing was that I nearly went for a third bowl, but fortunately I had enough self control to keep myself from it.

Yoshinoya's portions are getting smaller and smaller! I'm noticing it here in the US too. They designed new styrofoam containers which are smaller in every dimension. They even get tighter in the middle too. Is the cost increase that bad to them?

That's my thoughts EXACTLY. There's some offer now that promises a free bowl with every meal purchase on Mondays (I think).

It's absolutely ridiculous how small their portions are and the price for some food that ain't even that good..really even the best thing I ever had from there ..the ribs ..which were limited time of course ..were just a 5/10 for me a 6 max i went there with a friend of mines the other day he didn't have any money so i gave em my card and some coupons and he got 2 combo bowls and a "steak" bowl for 22.49 that's without tax and with the coupon i gave him..the "steak" bowl itself was 8.49 for barely any "steak"(which i keep in quotes since it really was bulls#!t and even worse it was burnt which they said they couldn't do anything about) and some bs vegetables and pretty good rice but that shouldn't be anymore than 5.50 even today in 2021 12 years after this comment was posted they still on the same s#!t ..and I've only been in la for 4 yrs now thankfully they don't have this bs in nyc but i remember first trying this crap back in 2017 i told them they had to give me more meat and i didn't fold until they gave me what i wanted but the other day i didn't have time to complain but I'm still pissed i mean i really don't understand how they even stay in business..if the food was bomb i could understand the prices but u got average a$$ food, high prices and small a$$ baby portions i mean they might as well call it a kids bowl..where do u win with that bs..they win, the consumers lose and they keep trucking cuz people keep buying ..im seriously considering going further with my complaints on them..a shame to see that even in a country as prosperous as Singapore it's still the same s#!t..sorry to yap
