The Big Breakfast at Dôme

The Big Breakfast

I don't often go to the Dôme chain of cafes in Singapore. But nothing else was open this early up on Dempsey Hill today, so I grabbed their "Big Breakfast" in the absence of anything better this morning. We should have just hopped down to Tiong Bahru or Chinatown for a local breakfast instead.

Looks like a pretty breakfast! So much food indeed.

Looks like something out of a plane's breakfast to me, maybe minus the eggs.

Next time if you are around the area and want some western style breakfast, perhaps you can try Spruce. Their breakfast is pretty good too! Their weekend brunch starts from 0830hr.

That's what a Dome Big Breakfast is supposed to look like.

This looks like a really really bad attempt at a full English Breakfast.. except neither the tomato or mushrooms look cooked enough, it lacks proper baked beans.. and I'm not sure what is under that vaguely fatty (American version of) bacon. Also.. is that sausage? and what on earth is that bread? Ok ok, so it looks nothing like an English breakfast other than the inclusion of egg, tomato and mushrooms. :(

hey, common, dont nit pic. the scrumpy fried eggs, done just right, with some tomtoes and mushrooms. and the sausgages look, well, dare I say it, German. I can say that cause my mom was from Bristol and I got a cousin in Austria. Mom used to cook eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms, served on toast, and if you did not like it, go with out. right? ( on the other hand, I wouldnt mind some chips to dip in those eggs). here is a saying, round here- whats the best cup of tea... the one you got in your hand.

I would suggest you checkout the awesome aussie-style brekkie at Jones the Grocer, diagonal across from Dome. Cheers!
