
Here's just a couple quick pics from
Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao: the scallion oil noodles and the
"saliva chicken" (what the heck is the official name that they use here?).

They may have looked promising at first glance, but perhaps not surprisingly, both of these had a tinge of sweetness to them that I didn't particularly care too much for. Well, I suppose that they did make the dishes look presentable at least.

Talking about xiao long bao and shanghai food.Have you tried Jing Hua Xiao Chi at 21, Neil Road Singapore 088814? Good stuff!
Saliva chicken? What is that....?
Maybe a more flattering translation of saliva chicken is "mouth watering" chicken (Kou Shui Ji)!
Xi Yan (www.xiyan.com.hk) along Craig Road does a nice rendition of the Kou Shui Ji, though they do not serve it every time.
