Tako-yaki off the Streets of Tokyo

Egg-covered tako yaki in pre-mayonnaise stagesLooking for a quick snack, we stopped by a tako yaki stall on the streets today, and picked up an interesting version where they beat an egg into the little grill and then put the finished balls into the egg, thus effectively wrapping it as such. This was tasty and piping hot (don't try to shove an entire one into your mouth right away like I did), and certainly a nice little cholesterol bomb, especially after squeezing all that Japanese mayo on it. Yum.
