UAL Biz Class lunch

UAL Biz Class lunch

Today's UAL Biz Class meal slipped a bit from the start: "shrimp and parma ham with cocktail sauce and fresh lemon." The shrimp had literally dried out to the point where it had started peeling. This didn't affect the ham much, but it still didn't taste right.

Moving to the main course, the "crispy pan-fried halibut with sweet chili sauce, sugar snap peas with carrots and steamed rice" was a bit misleading. The "crispy" halibut was crispy as a result of deep frying bread crumbs, and the sweet chili sauce was more like a tomato sauce (certainly not spicy) - in an ugly tin foil container, no less. Still, it was actually pretty good - the fish was decently fresh (impressive considering it is airplane food!), and the rice was OK with a little bit of self-added butter (thank the bread plate) and salt. The peas were a bit tough, but the wine, Bouchard Macon Lugny Saint Pierre 2003 Maconnais, still went well with the meal. Finally, Eli's Creme Caramel cheesecake for dessert was a nice rich treat to close it off.
