Salted and Hung on Purvis Street, Singapore

Mackerel

The group behind places like The Market Grill, Esquina, Bincho, and many others has now opened up a shop out on Purvis Street featuring a chef from Brisbane who likes to cure his own meat (12 Purvis Street, 6358-3130). Fortunately for a cheap bastard like me, they had S$25 (US$17) two-course lunch sets, which got me that tasty mackerel above as well as a juicy pork collar. The approach to food here was more delicate than places like Burnt Ends, but nonetheless I'm curious about how the rest of their menu tastes and wouldn't hesitate to come back here if someone suggested it.
