The Food Court at 504 Bishan Street 11, Singapore

Sichuan La Mian with Prawn, Garlic, and Chili

We were in Bishan this morning and swung by the S-11 food court to see if there were anything interesting. Stall number 9 (Yang Hong Appetiser & Noodle House, 8500-5386) was a surprise: a Sichuan place run by a former Silk Road chef doing hand-pulled spinach green noodles. Yes, I liked that dish above, even if it was loaded up with quite a bit of raw garlic. Note to self: if you come back here, be sure to ask them to make it extra spicy.

Lei Cha Fan

I still needed a bit more food though, so I hopped over to Fortune Tree Vegetarian at stall number 6 to try their lei cha fan. This of course was less interesting than the Sichuan place, but also a lot healthier. I liked it enough that I finished the entire bowl despite having eaten those noodles earlier.
