Kok Sen Restaurant on Keong Saik Road
I'd never heard of this place until tonight (30 Keong Saik Road, 6223-2005). It was supposed to be pretty good, with that prawn noodle above being one of the things that one has to get. It wasn't your typical prawn noodle; there was a lot more going on in that broth that made it rather unique.
The better thing, however, was a prawn hor fun, whose gravy was surprisingly earthy, particularly due to the fried shallots in there. If we come here again (and are willing to wait until the lines die down), then the priority will be on the latter, not the former.
