A Random Bowl of Chicken Porridge

Chicken Porridge

Here was a bowl of chicken porridge from a random hawker stall. It was probably more properly described as porridge topped with some leftover scraps of chicken, but it did the same job once mixed up.

Strange. I suppose the add the chicken in afterward so that they can have 1 big pot of generic congee and then flavour it to your order with a spoonful of "scraps".

If you're ever in the area, go to Upper Thomson's A1 (I think that's what they're called) porridge restaurant. It's a green logo, the place is along the same stretch as the Prata House, and Meng's kitchen (bak chor mee).

They've got some really good porridge there and chinese hot plate dishes. Plus they close at 3AM.
